Electrical Technician (Digital Health Projects)
Job Description:
We are seeking an electrical technician to join our team for special projects in digital health. This role requires a self-motivated individual to work in our R&D department, located in downtown Winnipeg.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Hands-on experience in soldering, desoldering, and assembling electronic PCBs (SMT and through-hole components)
- Ability to read PCB layouts and extract BOMs from hardware design software such as Eagle
- Experience in debugging assembled electronic hardware
- Familiarity with the Arduino IDE
- Strong organizational skills for preparing BOMs and updating inventory lists
- Experience in mechanical assembly and 3D printing is an asset
Duties:
- Assemble electronic hardware for various projects, including tiny SMT and through-hole components
- Debug electronic hardware as needed
- Update and organize inventory lists for electronic and mechanical components
- Search for and order components from vendors such as Digi-Key, Mouser, and Alibaba
- Upload and update firmware on assembled PCBs using the Arduino IDE (training provided)
- Collaborate with the R&D and marketing teams to source components and materials for projects
- Assemble mechanical components such as brass inserts and nuts, and create silicone molds for different projects (training provided)
- Participate in technical meetings
Salary:
Compensation will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
